WOMEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING: Ball State has 3 swimmers recognized for academic success

Ball State swimmers Mallory Miles, Haley Richter and Bridgette Ruehl were recognized for their academic performances by receiving the 2014 Honorable Mention Scholar All-American Award.

"I am extremely proud of these three student-athletes for their hard work in the pool and classroom," Ball State head women's swimming and diving coach Kristy Castillo said in a statement.

To qualify for the award swimmer and divers must hold a 3.5 or higher GPA and a “B” time standard, but did not qualify to compete in their respective national championship

The Honorable Mention Scholar All-American Awards are administered by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
