Ball State has announced it will allow students to move in one day ahead of schedule in anticipation of Sunday’s potentially hazardous snowstorm.

Residence halls will open at noon Saturday and the university is urging students to “closely monitor weather forecasts and road conditions before making travel plans,” according to bsu.edu.

American Buffet in the LaFollette Complex will open between 5:30 and 8 p.m., the only place students will be able to eat on campus according to the alert.

In addition to the move-in schedule changes, the Mandatory Academic Progress Session originally scheduled at 4 p.m. in Pruis Hall has been moved back to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Cardinal Hall in the L.A. Pittenger Student Center.
