WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Ball State falls at Wyoming, 51-71

- Point guard Brandy Woody shot 0-for-6 from the floor in 36 minutes

- Sophomore forward Nathalie Fontaine led the team with 20 points and hit 8 free throws

- Ball State was outrebounded 47-35 and committed 13 turnovers

FINAL SCORE: Ball State 51, Wyoming 71

Ball State fell to 3-5 on the season after losing to Wyoming tonight.

The Cardinals gave up the lead early and never managed to close the gap in the 51-71 loss. The game was tied at three in the opening minutes, but the Cowgirls opened up a 13-4 lead with 13:04 left in the first half.

Ball State would end the half on a 13-4 run, narrowing Wyoming’s lead to six points at the intermission. The Cowgirls shot nearly 41.7 percent from the floor in the first period. Wyoming was quick to reestablish its lead in the second as it was leading Ball State 52-37 with just more than nine minutes left in the game.

Wyoming went on to score 38 in the second to finish the game with 71 points and a victory over Ball State.
