There is no reported damage on or near Ball State campus according to Delaware County Emergency Management after a storm passed over Muncie that caused more than 70 tornadoes throughout the Midwest.

887 customers are out of power in Delaware County according to Indiana Michigan Power.

The tornado watch and severe thunderstorm warning was lifted around 5:20 p.m. for Delaware county, a wind advisory continues until 9 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.

Muncie Fire Department responded to a telephone pole that looked like it may fall onto Eliot Dining Hall. The pole is located on West Gilbert Street and S Nichols Avenue.

Troy Dulaney, a lieutenant with the Muncie Fire Department said they will be replacing the pole and are waiting for American Electric Power workers to arrive to the scene.

A section of the roads near the pole will continue to be closed for approximately an hour to an hour and a half until crews can finish the replacement.

A Muncie Fire Department officer said so far tonight he has responded to three downed power lines.

One located at 200 N Calvert St. and a second near the 2100 block of W Jackson Street.

Earlier: A telephone pole looks as if it may fall on Eliot Dining Hall according to the Muncie Police Department dispatch. The pole is located on West Gilbert Street and South Nichols Avenue.

Muncie Fire Department is on the scene.

Noyer, Studebaker West and LaFollette complexes have given the all clear. The L.A. Pittinger Student Center has also given the all clear. Bracken Library was never under an official shelter order.

EARLIER: The National Weather Service downgraded the tornado warning to a tornado watch at 4:45 p.m. for northern Delaware County. The watch is in effect until 8 p.m. tonight.

Delaware County continues to be under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.

Ball State sent out a text alert at about 4:50 p.m. warning students of a tornado warning until 5:15 p.m. for Delaware County.

Noyer Complex has given the all-clear Tremaine Taylor-Tillery a senior telecommunications major said following an order to stay in a safe place.

Studebaker West Complex has also given the all-clear.

Kinghorn Hall is under shelter orders, according to students, and some students are being sheltered in LaFollette Complex, Jana Lowery a freshman telecommunications major said.

Students in Studebaker East Complex are asked to head to the first floor according to Miranda Kuehl a freshman secondary education major

Dehority Hall is asking students to stay on the first floor, however it is not mandatory.

EARLIER: 4:25 p.m.: The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for northern Delaware County and northeastern Madison County. It is in effect until 4:45 p.m.

EARLIER: National Weather Service in Norman Oklahoma has issued a PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) Tornado Watch until 8 pm for most all of Indiana including the Ball State Campus and the WCRD listening area. Please be weather aware and tune to 91.3 FM WCRD for live coverage if needed.
