Police make 46 arrests during Ball State's move-in weekend

Indiana Excise officers arrested 46 people during Ball State’s move-in weekend.

Charges included minor possession of alcohol, as well as possession of fake IDs, public intoxication and fleeing law enforcement.

Thursday, police issued six summonses. Friday, 27 people were arrested, and Saturday, 15 were arrested.

Indiana Excise Superintendent Matt Strittmatter said safety is a priority of his staff.

“Officers will remain diligent to make certain that underage drinking is minimal, so the students and community are safe,” Strittmatter said.
