Ball State's Board of Trustees approved a 2 percent tuition increase for each of the next two years.
The Board of Trustees also approved the 2013-14 budget, including a 3 percent increase in salaries for faculty and a 2.5 percent increase for professional staff, in its meeting on Thursday.
The Indiana Commission for Higher Education recommended no more than a 2 percent increase. Ball State was able to meet the commission's recommendations due to an increase in state support.
