Students gathered around the Scramble Light at 2:15 p.m. Friday to participate in a "Harlem Shake," a new trend originating from a viral video from the comedy vlogger Filthy Frank.

"Participation in the Harlem Shake was a fun, crazy, freeing experience — just another memorable college life experience I'm glad I didn't pass up," sophomore Lauren Dahlhauser said.

The videos often start with a helmeted person dancing to Baauer's song "Harlem Shake." The video then cuts to show everyone flail, jump and dance crazy.
