DJ ETrayn, the disc jockey that hosted the Neely Fest rave earlier in the semester, will bring the party back to Muncie on Saturday atDLuxe.

The Cincinnati native is known for his high energy performances that consists of blending non-stop electronic dance music and strategically placed crowd interaction in which he ensures that everyone on the dance floor is moving to the music.

ETrayn started his career with gigs at local bars and clubs within the Cincinnati area and has worked his way up to sharing the stage with acts such as Machine Gun Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, Jermaine Dupri, and Warren Peace. He also has started airing his own weekly radio show “Drive at 5” on Cincinnati’s premier hip-hop and R&B station 101.1 The Wiz.

This isn’t the disc jockey’s first run around at DLuxe. Immediately following Neely Fest, ETrayn came in to DLuxe and continued to spin for another hour or so. He said he enjoyed the vibe of the venue and expressed an interest to the owners about setting up another gig.

“He really brought the party alive.” said Andy Goth, one of the owners of DLuxe. “He’s known for his stage dives as well as buying expensive bottles at the bar and then handing out shots to his audience members.”

Goth and Matt Overmyer have been the owners of DLuxe for a little more than half of a year. Goth said he plans on having ETrayn regularly as well as other “extremely well-known” artists. One in particular being the hip-hop DJ Clockwork, who is the disc jockey for the world famous hip-hop artist Mac Miller.

One thing Sam Lopez, a bartender at DLuxe and junior wellness management major, noticed about ETrayn’s performance is that if somebody on the dance floor isn’t dancing or having a good time, he will make it his personal duty to get them riled up and off their feet.

“He was more of a hype man and a DJ, opposed to just a traditional DJ spinning music like a lot our regulars do,” Lopez said. “His music gave more of a dance-club type feel, and he really knew how to work the mic.”

On Saturday, due to daylight savings time, DLuxe was open for an extra hour. Goth took note of the positive response the bar crowd took to this and planned to emphasize on it. Every Friday and Saturday night, Dluxe will be open an extra hour in comparison with the other bars in the Village. DJ ETrayn will be part of the first Saturday these hours are enforced.

RSVP tickets are $10 prior to the event and include a complimentary glass of moscato as well as a shuttle service. Tickets at the door are $5.
