INDIANAPOLIS- Republican Senate candidate Richard Mourdock is spending $300,000 on a new ad this week as he continues trying to tie Democratic nominee Joe Donnelly to his party's leaders in Washington.

The ad is titled "Direction" and features two vehicles taking different routes, one marked conservative and one marked liberal.

The spot adds to more than $7 million spent on the Indiana Senate race by candidates and outside groups as polls continue to show Mourdock and Donnelly running about even.

The ad launched Monday will air for one week on broadcast and cable stations statewide. A Republican tracking ad buys disclosed the ad buy on condition of anonymity because the Mourdock campaign doesn't say how much it spends on advertising.
