Sandra Chapman to speak at Ball State

Emmy Award winning reporter and Ball State Alum Sandra Chapman will visit Ball State University on Wednesday, Sept. 12.

The Ball State chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists will host the event. The discussion will take place at 5 p.m. in the David Letterman Building, Room 125.

According to WTHR, in 2010, Chapman won a regional Emmy for her reporting on credit checks costing federal employees their jobs at the Defense Finance & Accounting Service at Fort Benjamin Harrison.

Chapman graduated from Ball State in 1986 with a degree in telecommunications and marketing.

Currently Chapman is an investigative reporter for WTHR Channel 13 in Indianapolis.
