O'Neill named president and CEO of Ball State University Foundation

Former Ball State graduate and executive director of Alpha Chi Omega national women's fraternity, Cheri E. O'Neill, has been named the new president and chief executive officer of the Ball State University Foundation, the foundation announced today.

After becoming executive director of the fraternity in 2007, O'Neill went on to become the CEO of Alpha Chi Omega's Fraternity, foundation, and National Housing Corporations.

During this time, O'Neill led a multimillion-dollar fundraising campaign that became the largest in Alpha Chi Omega's history.

O'Neill has been working in higher education for 23 years, during which she has held multiple directorial positions including Director of Alumni Programs and Director of Development for the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

O'Neill will become the fourth CEO of the Ball State Foundation on Jan. 1, 2013 and currently serves on the boards of directors for the Spirit and Place Festival, Central Indiana Land Trust, and Indiana Society of Association Executives.
