Muncie police in residential standoff

At least one resident and police are in a standoff at a southside Muncie home.

The Muncie Police Department and the Delaware County Sheriff's Department have at least 20 officers on the scene.

Two people are in custody and two people remain in the home, police said.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Department arrived on scene with a mobile robot that was sent throught the front door.

The situation is a domestic dispute, Muncie Police Department Lt. Steve Cox said. There is at least one barricaded subject with another person in the house. It is not known if they are being held hostage.

Officers are using a bullhorn to attempt to communicate with the resident listed as living at the residence, Brady Turner.

The home is located at 1421 West 16th St.

According to the Star Press, "scanner traffic indicated there were remnants of a meth lab inside the house."

UPDATE: Police scanner indicates tear gas maybe fired into the home.
