FIELD HOCKEY: Ball State drops match 6-1

Longwood scores six goals on 26 shots

The season isn't getting much better for Ball State after dropping a match to Longwood (1-6) 6-1 Sunday.

Ball State finished the first half tied with Longwood at one before the goals started to find the back of the net. Five of Longwood's six goals were scored on freshman goalkeeper Maddi Elliott in the second half.

Freshman goalkeeper Shelby Henley made four saves in the first half.

Longwood was able to score its six goals on 26 shots. Ball State managed only 10 total shots in the match with only three of them coming in the second half.

Freshman forward Allie White was the sole Ball State player to score. It was the second goal of her career.
