WOMEN'S TENNIS: Ball State takes on coach's alma mater

Bader returns to Michigan State for a second time at Ball State

After four years playing for Michigan State, three of them as a captain, Ball State coach Christine Bader will return to East Lansing this weekend to coach the Cardinals in their match against the Spartans.

The Cardinals have a 5-6 record this season.

Ball State will try to end its non-conference play with a victory before traveling to Buffalo to begin Mid-American Conference play.

The Spartans are 7-4 in 2012, but 7-2 at home. They are 4-1 against MAC teams, their only loss coming to Akron.

Bader was 18-14 her senior year at Michigan State in singles and doubles. She played doubles with current Ball State assistant coach Whitney Wilson.

First serve is at 3 p.m.
