The Mid-American Conference released its schedule for the 2012 season on Thursday.
Ball State's season will start on Thursday, Aug. 30 with a home game against Eastern Michigan before the team plays three straight non-conference games, two of which are on the road. The first road MAC game of the season is on Sept. 29 against Kent State.
The team will then have two home games, the first against defending MAC champions Northern Illinois and Western Michigan on Oct. 6 and Oct. 13, respectively.
Four of the Cardinals' five games to end the season are on the road. After Western Michigan, Ball State has three consecutive road games. The first is at Central Michigan on Oct. 20. The team then finishes its non-conference portion of the schedule with a road game at Army on Oct. 27. The road trip ends with a Tuesday game at Toledo on Nov. 6.
After hosting Ohio on Wednesday, Nov. 14 Ball State ends the regular season the day after Thanksgiving on Nov. 23 against Miami, who Ball State has not played since the 2008-09 season.
