Ball State app released for iPhone

An app that organizes resources for Ball State students, bConnected, is now available for iPhone users.

The app was released for Droid in early December. It features a mobile way to access frequently used resources through new platforms. Grades, financial aid, class schedules and campus life are now accessible on smartphones, tablets and Google TV. The app was developed only for Droid users at first as a trial run, but features will remain the same for the iPhone version.

"We tested it on Droid to see if students were interested," Kyle Parker, senior software engineer for Developing Technologies, said. "Then we made it for iPhone once there was a demand."

Parker designed the app after being selected to participate in a development opportunity hosted by Google.

The app is available exclusively to Ball State students, but a template of bConnected is available on Google TV for other universities.
