Downtown water main break affects customers around Muncie

Some areas around Muncie are experiencing low water pressure due to a water main break downtown Monday morning.

A representative from American Indiana Water Company said the main break is near Elm and Seymour streets.

He said the leak has been isolated, but it is still affecting several customers around the city. They could notice low water pressure or dirty water while the pipes are being repaired. Kinghorn Hall is one area experiencing low water pressure.

The representative referenced a report that was made at 11 a.m. As of 1 p.m., the report had not been updated, and a time frame for the repairs is unknown.
