The Ball State women's tennis team completed its first day of tennis action at the MSU Invitational Friday afternoon.
Junior Paola Rodriguez and senior Kylee Johnson were both defeated in singles play.
Senior Dena Boulieris beat Michigan State 6-3, 6-3.
Michigan State's Nicole Herzog beat sophomore Kristel Sanders, 7-5, 6-2.
In doubles, freshman Ashlyn Rang and senior Sarah Hebble lost to the Spartans.
