Mike Pence to host job fair at Ball State

Congressman Mike Pence will host the 2011 Sixth congressional District Job Fair in cooperation with Ball State on Friday.

The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Worthen Arena, according to a press release. More than 60 employers such as First Merchants Bank, Hillcroft Services, Inc., Ivy Tech and IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital have signed up for the job fair.

"During these difficult economic times, I want to do all I can to provide opportunities for Hoosiers to find jobs and employers to find good employees," Pence said in the press release. "For that reason, I am pleased that 60 businesses have signed up to participate in the annual Sixth Congressional District Job Fair.

"I am grateful for Ball State University's continued support of this event, and look forward to another successful job fair this year."

MITS will provide transportation to job seekers with a job fair flier, which is available at MITS, WorkOne offices and Pence's Muncie office.
