Ball State women's basketball senior forward Emily Maggert received Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors for the first time in her collegiate career Tuesday.
The 6-foot-1-inch Maggert is an exercise science major and has a 3.255 GPA.
Over her four-year career, Maggert was selected as a preseason All-MAC recipient three times.
Last season, Maggert led the Cardinals in scoring, averaging 14.6 points per game, total rebounds, with 251 and blocks, with 31.
In 2010, Maggert made the All-MAC Second Team and was voted to the All-MAC Tournament team in 2009.
Maggert holds the Ball State record for rebounds in a season, with 329 and is fourth all-time in career rebounds, with 933 and career field goals, with 611.
Maggert is third all-time in career scoring, with 1,691 points and in free throws made, with 389.
