Weather service calls for more ice, snow

It isn't over.

Blizzard conditions are expected in parts of northern Indiana. Near Ball State, the problem is ice - only a couple of inches of snow are in the forecast but a coating of ice could play havoc with downed trees and powerlines, officials said.

"A brief lull in the accumulating precipitation this morning will come to an end as freezing rain... sleet.. and snow will begin across the area by this afternoon," according to a winter storm warning issued at 4:40 a.m.

An inch of ice is expected to accumulate in East Central Indiana. Roads will probably become impassable, and more than 2 inches of snow could accumulate.
