Michael Jackson is considered the King of Pop. Aretha Franklin has been classified as the Queen of Soul. When it comes to the top spot in rock ‘n' roll, the competition is tough. There is, however, one man who personifies the rock ‘n' roll persona better than the rest and because of this, he has a cult of followers who claim him to be a god. That man is none other than Lemmy Kilmister, a founding member, lead singer and bassist of heavy metal band Motörhead.

After 40 years of rocking, Kilmister allowed directors Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski to capture an honest portrayal of him for all his fans to see in the rockumentary, "Lemmy: 49% Motherf**ker, 51% Son of a B**ch." The feature-length film, commonly referred to as the Lemmy Movie, follows the rock icon as he continues to live the crazy lifestyle of a rock star half his age. Also, a number of bandmates, fans and friends of Kilmister are featured in interviews that contribute to the rockumentary, including Slash, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Joan Jett and Billy Bob Thornton.

After four years of working on the film, I feel these directors captured more than an honest portrayal. They showed that not all of Hollywood is glitz and glam, especially Lemmy. They didn't film him living in a million dollar mansion or walking the streets of Los Angeles with a swarm of paparazzi and bodyguards. It was just Lemmy, the real and natural rock star, and his world. It was a refreshing sight to see.
