INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Guests who visit the Indiana Historical Society on Feb. 22 will be taken back to April 4, 1968, to experience Robert F. Kennedy's historic speech that day in downtown Indianapolis.
The exhibition will use holographic technology to allow visitors to relive Kennedy's campaign speech that came hours after Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated.
The museum is the first in the country to use the technology. The high-definition video projection requires no props or 3D glasses.
The re-enactment uses actors to play Kennedy and three of his close supporters who were with him that night. Historical interpreters acting as real-life spectators will be in the audience to interact with guests.
The "You Are There 1968: Robert F. Kennedy Speaks" exhibit will run through April 14, 2012.
