Fire Department responds to alarm at Bracken Library

Muncie Fire Department was sent to Bracken Library around 1 p.m. after a fire alarm was tripped.

Radio traffic indicated a problem at the lower level room 47, in the mechanical room. Within 15 minutes officials determined there was no fire, however there was an issue with a damaged sensor.

Social media updates indicated students were being cleared out of Bracken to wait in the cloudy 57 degree weather.

The all clear was given by 1:20 p.m. nd students began filing back into the library.
