For the first time in her career, senior guard Ty'ronda Benning was named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week.
Benning was honored after her two performances against Western Michigan and Central Michigan where she averaged 27.5 points, six assists and eight rebounds.
Against Western Michigan, Benning scored a career-high 33 points while shooting 60 percent from 3-point range.
She followed the performance with 22 points and 10 rebounds against Central Michigan on Saturday.
Ball State went 2-0 in the two games and moved to 2-2 in the MAC.
