Experience 'Harry Potter' on UPB trip

University Program Board is selling tickets for the opening night of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1."

Ninety tickets for the midnight showing of the seventh film in the series will be available at 9 a.m. today.

Dillon Kimmel, vice president of marketing for UPB, said UPB will probably sell out of tickets by the end of the day, so students should act fast.

"Unfortunately, we aren't able to take a whole ton of people," he said. "We encourage students to get tickets as soon as they can."

Kimmel said UPB is renting out a theater just for Ball State students at Hamilton 16 Cinema in Noblesville, Ind. Students who get tickets with UPB will have to ride the "Hogwarts Express" with them, which will leave at 10 p.m. Nov. 18.

UPB will offer Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans and "Harry Potter"-themed Danishes and candy, Kimmel said. Hamilton 16 is also offering students soda and popcorn for $3.

Tickets with UPB are $8 and cover the movie, transportation and snacks on the bus. Sign-ups begin at 9 a.m. in L.A. Pittenger Student Center Room 112. The offer is for Ball State students only.
