KENT, Ohio – The day was dedicated to Josh Cribbs, the former Kent State quarterback who rewrote the school's offensive record book and has been the most dynamic member of the Cleveland Browns' offense the past few years.
But it was Kent State's defense that dominated Ball State on Saturday afternoon in Dix Stadium. The Golden Flashes took advantage of four Cardinals' turnovers in a 33-14 romp.
After keeping the game close for three quarters, Ball State's final 20 mintues was a nightmare fit for a Halloween weekend. Running back Eric Williams fumbled, Keith Wenning was intercepted for the third time and the Golden Flashes' lead went from six points to 19.
