Worthen Arena hosts Fall Career Fair today

Ball State will host its annual Fall Career Fair today from noon to 4 p.m. in Worthen Arena, where more than 100 employers and organizations will set up stations for students to find opportunities for full-time positions and internships.

There are a variety of businesses at the career fair, offering possibilities for any major.

For example, the FBI will take applications for special agents, analysts and other jobs; Youth Opportunity Center is looking for a child-care specialist; and Auto-Owner Insurance Company has positions for associate claim representatives.

"Any student can benefit from the many opportunities," said Mark Hannon, associate director of employer relations at the Career Center.

There will be job openings for underclassmen, particularly internships. Students can network, explore and find general information about future careers.

"It will never be easier for them to find jobs than it is at fairs like this and other on-campus events," Hannon said.

Students are encouraged to dress professionally, required to bring a student ID and should bring multiple copies of their résumé.

A full list of businesses attending can be found in the Career Fair Guidebook at the Career Center's website at bsu.edu/careers.
