Dr. Melba Vasquez, president-elect of the American Psychological Association, will speak on campus today.
Her presentation, "Competence in Psychotherapy," will be from 11 a.m. to noon in the L.A. Pittenger Student Center Cardinal Hall A. She will focus on improving the psychology community's knowledge and skills for handling today's social demands.
This is the first time that a president of the APA will be visiting Ball State.
The event is sponsored by the psychology department, the Counseling Center, the Office of the Provost, the Teachers College and the Office of Institutional Diversity. Admission is free.
