MEN'S GOLF: 2 Ball State golfers finish in top 5 at Indiana Public Links Championships

Two members of the Ball State University men's golf team finished in the top five at a state-wide tournament during the weekend.

Sophomore Brodie Williams ended in second place and the tournament's defending champion senior Eric Steger tied for third place at the Indiana Golf Association Public Links Championship in Noblesville.

Williams shot a 9-under-par 133 in the two-round tournament. In addition, Steger finished one shot behind Williams with a 8-under-par 134 and finished tied with former Cardinal Ross Cosat.

Two other Ball State members finished in the tournament's top 20.

Junior Zach Treash shot a 141 to finish tied for 15th place, and junior Zac Henderson had a 143 to end in a tie for 20th place.
