The Big Ten Network announced Wednesday that the Sept. 18 football game between Ball State University and Purdue University will be played at noon.
The Big Ten Network will televise the contest, which will be played at Purdue. The network announced its schedule for the first three games of the season, leaving time for Ball State's trip to Iowa University the following week to still be announced.
Ball State will open its season at home Sept. 2 against Southeast Missouri State University.
The Cardinals lost all four of their non-conference games to open the 2010 season and finished 2-10. Purdue ended last season 5-7, including a non-conference loss to Northern Illinois University.
This will be the first time Ball State plays Purdue since the 2006 season. In that game, Purdue's starting quarterback Curtis Painter had 416 passing yards as the Boilermakers defeated the Cardinals 38-28 in West LaFayette.
