Planned Parenthood in Muncie is offering half-price testing for sexually transmitted diseases Monday.
This is part of Planned Parenthood's statewide Get Yourself Tested campaign. Testing is available for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea.
"One in two people will have an STD by age 25," Shepherd said. "That's a staggering number."
Students can save as much as $50 by taking advantage of the half-price testing, she said.
Planned Parenthood offers treatment for syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea, and they refer students with HIV to seek treatment at other medical institutions.
Shepherd said students must bring a valid ID to receive the tests, and Planned Parenthood accepts all types of insurance.
Kate Shepherd, communications and marketing director at Planned Parenthood of Indiana, said students should call ahead to make an appointment.
The tests will be administered at 3550 W. Fox Ridge Lane, and the number to call for more information is 765-282-8011.
