Cultural Cook-off postponed until next semester

The Cultural Cook-off that was planned for 5 p.m. Tuesday in the L.A. Pittenger Student Center Tally has been postponed to next semester.

According to Trevor Foley, events coordinator of the Rinker Center for International Programs, the Cultural Cook-off organizing committee decided to postpone the event due to a lack of students interested in participating.

The committee has refocused the event on international dishes and will now take place at the International Street Fair food festival in October. University Dining will host the event.

The festival will take place outside of Woodworth Complex. Winners will have the option to have their dish included in the international menu for the event.

"Though we're disappointed about the delay, the committee is committed to having the competition next fall, as part of a larger, themed event," Foley said.
