TRACK: Cards net 13 top-10s in Hoosier Hills Invitational

The Ball State University track team came away from Friday's Hoosier Hills Invitational in Bloomington with 13 top-10s to its credit.

Leading the way with third-place finishes were RaJae Marable and Christine Talhelm. Marable's 8.79 pace in the 60-meter hurdles placed her third, while Talhelm's time of 1:35.40 in the 600-meter run produced the same result.

Perhaps the Cardinals' top team effort came in the 400-meter dash. Renyae Owsley (57.55), Jenna Schmitmeyer (57.79) and Judah Smith (57.95) placed sixth, seventh and eighth, respectfully.

Ball State returns to the track Friday for its lone home event of the season, as Mid-American Conference opponents Western Michigan University, Northern Illinois University and Miami University visit the Ball State Field Sports Building for the 2010 Ball State Quadrangular.
