Ball State grad to play in lacrosse worlds

A 2006 graduate of Ball State University will compete on the Spanish National Lacrosse Team during the Federation of International Lacrosse World Championship.

According to a press release, former member of the lacrosse club Alonso Miller, a face-off midfielder, was invited to try out for the Spanish team in December as a heritage player. Teams are allowed up to four heritage players, or players with one or more parents or grandparents born in the country.

Miller will be one of 23 players on the Spanish roster for the championship in Manchester, England this summer.

He is the first former Ball State player to play in the FIL World Championship.
