WOMEN'S TENNIS: Ball State hosts Wright State with 2-0 aspirations

The Cardinals (1-0) defeated Dayton in their season-opener

The Ball State University women's tennis team will look to go to 2-0 when it faces Wright State University at 2 p.m. at the Muncie Northwest YMCA Tennis Center.

Ball State is looking to continue the momentum from its 4-3 victory over the University of Dayton on Saturday. The victory was the first of interim coach Amy Behrman's career.

Ball State also defeated Dayton and Wright State in succession in 2008, the last time Ball State began the season 2-0.

The matchup is the season opener for the Raiders. Last year, Ball State defeated Wright State 6-1, as six Cardinals from that match-up are still on the roster.

Following today's meet, Ball State will host Indiana University at 6 p.m. first serve on Saturday, the third leg of its six-match home tand to start the spring season.
