For the fourth time in the past five voting periods, a Ball State University women's swimming and diving member has been named as the Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week.
Senior swimmer Emily Karwoski earned the honor as announced on Tuesday for the Cardinals, joining teammates Sarah Kehe, Katie Bylsma and Elizabeth Spilman as the other Ball State recipients this season.
Karwoski was the catalyst for Ball State's 154-146 come-from-behind win at Illinois State University on Saturday.
She posted three first-place finishes in the match, including in the 200 individual medley, where her 2:11.50 finish was 1.65 seconds over the Red Birds' second-place pace, clinching the win for the Cardinals.
Karwoski also captured first place in the 100 and 200 breaststroke.
Karwoski and the Ball State women's swimming and diving team next travels to Eastern Michigan University on Saturday.
