WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Cards trail host Eastern Michigan 32-26 at halftime

The Ball State University women's basketball team trails Eastern Michigan University 32-26 at the half of tonight's game in Ypsilanti, Mich.

Junior forward Emily Maggert led the Cardinals in the first half with 10 points, but struggled from the floor early before coming on to finish 4-for-10 in the first half. She also recorded five rebounds.

Patrice King and Ty'Ronda Benning each tallied five points.

Pagie Redditt of Eastern Michigan led all scorers in the first half with 12.

Eastern Michigan outshot Ball State 42 percent to 32 percent from the floor.

The most telling story of the first half was the inability for Ball State to find the touch from distance. The Cardinals combined to go 0-for-8 from beyond the arc.

Each team committed six turnovers and recorded five assists.
