Scotty's Brewhouse is joining the service bandwagon on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The restaurant will donate 10 percent of Monday's sales to Harlem Children's Zone, according to a press release.
Harlem Children's Zone is a program that provides the Harlem, New York community with workshops, schooling and health programs. The organization is funded by private donations.
According to the press release, Scotty's owner Scott Wise got the idea from a story on "60 Minutes."
Wise said in the press release that Harlem Children's Zone pays children for their academic performance. He said he liked the idea and wants to support it.
According to the press release Harlem Children's Zone has helped 17,896 people in 2009, 10,462 of them children.
