GYMNASTICS: Ball State places second in New Hampshire Invitational

Team sets 10 career highs en route to 192.85 team score

The Ball State University gymnastics team finished in second place at the University of New Hampshire Invitational Sunday.

Ball State posted a score of 192.85. The Cardinals' season high was not enough to overcome the host Wildcats, who had a near flawless day to win the event with a score of 195.

Ball State topped Utah State University (191.65) and Yale University (186.525) to pick up its first two wins of the season. Ball State has evened its record at 2-2.

Season- and career-highs were the norm for the Cardinals. In all, the team posted 10 career highs and five more season highs at this early point of the season.

Ball State will return to action next Sunday when it hosts Southeast Missouri State University and the University of Illinois at Chicago in the Cardinal Classic at Worthen Arena.
