$19 shuttle to Indy airport comes to BSU

Students who need a ride to the Indianapolis Airport can buy a one-way ticket for $19.

Star of America shuttle service has been in operation for many years and began offering airport rides from Ball State University in September.

General Manager Larry Shickles said the business was inspired to come to Muncie after a good response from Indiana University - Bloomington students and faculty.

"Ball State is now an important part of our operation," he said.

The service goes through Ball State's campus five times each day, five days a week. The first shuttle arrives on campus at 4:10 a.m. and the last shuttle comes at 8:10 p.m. Shickles said the ride from Muncie to the Indianapolis Airport takes about two hours.

The shuttle picks students up from the back of the L.A. Pittenger Student Center and at Schuemann Stadium, Shickles said. Riders can pay in cash or with a credit card at the time they are picked up or they can make a reservation.
