Weekend DUI arrests focus on Delaware County

At least six people were arrested by Indiana State Police for driving while impaired Saturday in Delaware County.

The police department had patrols targeting drunk drivers in Blackford, Delaware, Grant, Jay and Randolph counties, according to a press release.

A total of seven DUIs were issued Saturday night in all five counties, according to the press release. State police said Delaware County had the highest count of violations because it has the most traffic through it.

Other arrests in the area Saturday, according to state police:

  • 4 driving with suspended licenses
  • 2 possession of marijuana
  • 1 possession of drug paraphernalia
  • 7 minor consumption of alcohol
