H1N1 vaccines available to students during Saturday's Ball State basketball home games

Ball State University announced Friday afternoon that it will offer free H1N1 vaccines to students Saturday at Worthen Arena during the men's and women's basketball team's home games.

The vaccine will be available from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to all students less than 25 years old.
Both the killed injectable vaccine and the live Nasalmist vaccine will be available. In addition to the Saturday vaccinations, students on a walk-in basis can get a vaccine at the Amelia T. Wood Health Center.

The vaccines Saturday will be provided by the Health Center, in cooperation with the Delaware County Board of Health and Ball State School of Nursing.

This is the first time the H1N1 vaccine has been available at a Ball State sporting event.

After defeating Valparaiso University in its season home opener last weekend, the men's basketball team will play Southern Illinois University Edwardsville at 2 p.m. The women's basketball team is on a two-game losing streak to open its season — including a home loss to Western Kentucky University on Monday — and will play Northern Arizona University at 4:30 p.m.
