FOOTBALL: Cardinals trail 21-3 at halftime

LeFevour closes in on record at Ball State

Dan LeFevour accounted for two more touchdowns in the second quarter and Central Michigan University expanded their lead against Ball State University to 21-3.

With 46 seconds left in the second quarter, LeFevour found wide receiver Antonio Brown streaking down the sideline for an 82-yard touchdown. The pass came on the drive following a 20-yard field goal for Ian McGarvey to put the Cardinals on the board.

Ball State had a goal-line stand in the second quarter, forcing a fumble on fourth down. But the Cardinals were unable to perform the feat twice, and LeFevour ran in for a one-yard score.

LeFevour is 14-of-17 for 210 yards, bringing him within 37 yards of the Mid-American Conference career passing record.

Tanner Justice is 5-of-8 for 57 yards and Cory Sykes has 27 rushing yards to lead Ball State. MiQuale Lewis has 10 rushing attempts for 15 yards.
