The Ball State University field hockey team fell hard for the second time this weekend, as they were shut out by Kent State University 8-0.
The Cardinals were outshot 27-4 in the game; in penalty corners Kent State had 15 opportunities to Ball States 5.
In the first half Kent State recorded three goals. In the second half Kent State exploded producing five more goals, putting the game out of reach for Ball State.
Senior goalkeeper Tiffany Shifflett recorded 10 totals saves on the day.
The loss gives Ball State an overall record of 4-14 and 2-8 in MAC play.
