Bake sale to benefit Six Sigma group

Ball State University's Six Sigma Student Organization is having a bake sale this week.

Cookies, cupcakes, puppy chow and muffins will be sold today, Tuesday and Wednesday in the Whitinger Business Building. The sale will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Six Sigma is a practice of using data and methodology to eliminate defects, according to Six Sigma's Web site. Many companies, such as General Electric, have incorporated this process into their products and services.

Students interested in Six Sigma can also visit the bake sale to ask about Ball State's Minor in Process Improvement program, which lets undergraduate students earn Six Sigma certification, according to a press release.
