Ball State University was picked to finish second in the Mid-American Conference West Division in the preseason media poll.
Forwards Emily Maggert and Danielle Gratton were also selected as Preseason All-MAC West Division players. Maggert led the Cardinals in scoring with 13.4 points per game and Gratton led the team with seven rebounds per game.
Ball State is the defending MAC Champions, however, the University of Toledo was picked as the MAC West favorite.
Bowling Green State University was selected as the MAC East favorite and was picked to win the MAC Tournament.
