CROSS COUNTRY: Ball State finishes fourth in Ohio Invitational

The Ball State University cross country team finished fourth in Ohio Invitational on Saturday, despite weather conditions cutting the match short.

Scheduled to be a 6K race, competitors managed to finish 3K before lightning and heavy rains caused the meet to be canceled.

The Cardinals were led by senior Sarah Kehe who finished in a time of 11:10.16. Kehe was a mere one second shy of cracking the top 10. Christine Talhelm was Ball State's second fastest runner finishing in 29th place in a time of 11:35.22.

Of the seven teams competing, the University of Dayton, Kent State University and host Ohio University finished ahead of Ball State with 25, 30 and 80 points. Dayton had five runners in the top eight to secure the title.
