ArtWorks Exhibit: Hale, Holland, Peters and DelaGardelle

Today is the beginning of The ArtWorks Gallery's latest exhibit, featuring local artists' handcrafted work. The opening reception will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Local singer-songwriter Shad Peters will be playing guitar throughout the evening while International Wine hosts a wine tasting during the reception. The exhibit's artisans include Sean Hale (knives), Ben Holland (intage camera lamps), Shad Peters (handcrafted instruments) and David DelaGardelle (hiking sticks and staves). Admission is free and open to the public.

63rd Annual Summer Chamber Music Festival

The Ball State School of Music will host the third concert in their four concert series tonight at 8 p.m. The 63rd Annual Chamber Music Festival will take place at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Muncie, showcasing traditional chamber music. Students, faculty and members of the community will be featured. Admission is free and open to the public.

Friday

Freaky Tikki Friday

Freaky Tikki Friday features musical trio Peterson, Simmons and Dunn tomorrow night from 7 to 11 p.m. The downtown event takes place outside, next to the Blue Bottle and provides live music, food and drinks. Admission is free and 21+.

Saturday

Village Green Records

Village Green Records hosts their first summer concert on Saturday. The show is available for all ages, and takes place outside on the lawn. Indie acoustic/alternative trio Caroline Smith and the Good Night Sleeps and indie pop/rock band The Daredevil Christopher Wright will kick off the evening. Local bop-folk band The Bears of Blue River will wrap-up the show. Admission is free of charge.
