Tuesday's softball game at IPFW has been cancelled because of expected poor field conditions.
Coach Craig Nicholson said Sunday's rain has made the softball fields at IPFW and at Ball State University unusable. The Cardinals will use the day to work on their hitting before trying to return outside Wednesday.
Lisa Rusche, softball sports information director, stated in a press release that another non-conference game may be scheduled later this month to make up for Tuesday's lost game.
The team will next be in action Friday at Bowling Green State University.
